What are Processing Additives?
Processing additives are a number of ingredients that are added to both natural and synthetic rubber in order to obtain certain desirable properties. For example, during mixing on the open mill or in the internal mixer, additives facilitate homogeneous blending of different polymers and enable faster incorporation of fillers and other compounding materials.
Uses of Processing Additives – EezeeMix® Range — EezeeMix®, EezeeTack®, EezeeBlend®
Processing additives aid in improving the resistance of rubber to heat, oxidation, sunlight, ozone, and mechanical stresses. These include a wide range of product types, such as accelerators, activators, vulcanizing agents, anti-degradants (anti-oxidants and anti-ozonants), and stabilizers, among others. These meet the requirements for such properties as good resilience, abrasion resistance, flex resistance, hardness, and tensile strength for product-specific end-use applications.
