What are lubricants?
Lubricants reduce friction between the material and the processing equipment. It can also reduce heat and wear between two surfaces, either between the polymer molecules or between the polymeric material and the equipment.
Uses of lubricants
Reduce friction, reduce thermal degradation of the polymer, modify flow characteristics, prevent material from sticking to the mould surface during processing.
