What is Polychloroprene Rubber (CR)?

Polychloroprene Rubber (CR) has a perfect balance of mechanical properties and fatigue resistance which is second only to natural rubber. It has good resistance to many chlorofluorocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, greases and ozone, but only moderate or poor resistance to acids, solvents, and fuels. It also has good flame/heat resistance. It also gives excellent rubber-to-metal bonds. It’s a strong and robust rubber that resists abrasion and can withstand temperatures from -35°C to 125°C in some grades.

Uses of Polychloroprene Rubber (CR)

Polychloroprene Rubber (CR) has wide applications. It is used to manufacture gaskets, hoses, car fan belts, electrical insulation, weather stripping materials, wet suits, fly fishing waders, professional diving suits, life jackets, remote controls, knee and elbow pads, laptop sleeves, etc..
