Fluoroelastomer is fluorine-containing high performance synthetic rubber. It has outstanding resistance to heat, oxygen and a broad spectrum of oils, gases, fluids and chemicals — at elevated temperatures and in severe environments.
Uses of Fluoroelastomers
Fluoroelastomers are used in high temperature and acid resistant seals, oil resistant gaskets, offshore seals, fuel-resistant cable jackets and temperature-resistant seals, gaskets, O-rings, tubes, hoses used in fuel systems, air intake systems, turbocharger systems, engines or transmissions, components used in chemical processing equipment, utility expansion joints, roller covers, etc.
