What is Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPDM)?

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Rubber (EPDM) is an elastomer. It is the most widely used synthetic rubber. It exhibits great resistance to heat, steam, weather, and ozone, and is an electrical insulator.
Compatible: Fireproof hydraulic fluids, ketones, hot and cold water and alkalis.
Incompatible: Most hydrocarbons, such as oils, kerosene, aromatic, gasoline, as well halogenated solvents. EPDM exhibits outstanding resistance to heat, ozone, steam and weather. It is an electrical insulator.

Uses of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Rubber (EPDM)

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Rubber (EPDM) has a range of both specialty and general-purpose applications. It is used to produce automotive weather-stripping and seals, glass-run channel, radiator, electrical insulation, garden and appliance hose, tubing, belts, roofing membrane, rubber mechanical goods, plastic impact modification, motor oil additive applications, and thermoplastic vulcanisates.
