What is acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)?
Acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is a family of unsaturated copolymers and various butadiene monomers. It has good elongation properties, good to excellent compression set resistance, adequate resilience and tensile strength but poor flame and steam resistance.
Uses of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)
Acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is used in automotive and aeronautical fuel, hydraulic and oil hoses, seals, and grommets. It is also used to create oil/gas exploration and recovery parts, molded goods, footwear, printing rollers, cable jacketing, and non-latex gloves.
